Robert D. Nassau, MD


After practicing pediatrics in Brattleboro for 32 years, Dr. Robert Nassau, has retired. In recent years, he and his wife, Nancy Storrow, have taken some of their vacation time to offer medical care in third world countries, a practice which he is looking forward to continuing in his retirement.

Having previously volunteered in St. Lucia and Cambodia, Dr. Nassau plans to return for the fourth time to Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This will be a two month assignment and afford him the time to work closely with young Cambodian doctors .

Dr. Nassau says he has enjoyed being in practice in Brattleboro, treating children from diverse backgrounds and working with many community organizations, such as the Prouty Center and Windham County Reads.

In his retirement, he plans to be available at Brattleboro Primary Care to cover for vacationing pediatricians. He is also anticipating many interesting experiences in his future travels, combining both volunteer work with a cross-cultural experiences. In addition, Dr. Nassau hopes to return to the Navajo reservation where he has worked in the past.

Dr. Nassau says, "I have had many wonderful experiences right here in Brattleboro. I have many fond memories of my practice and my patients. I am looking forward to continuing to enjoy all that this area has to offer, while having the opportunity to practice medicine in other parts of the world."
